ST. MICHAEL

Saint Michael the Archangel,

defend us in the day of battle;

be our safeguard against the wickedness

and snares of the devil.

May God rebuke him, we humbly pray:

and do thou, Prince of the heavenly host,

by the power of God,

thrust down to hell Satan and all wicked spirits,

who wander through the world

for the ruin of souls.

Amen

THE ANGELUS

Traditionally recited three times each day:  6:00 AM / Noon / 6:00 PM

V. The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary,

R. And she conceived of the Holy Ghost.

Hail Mary, full  of grace; the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.  Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and the hour of our death. Amen.

V. Behold the handmaid of the Lord;

R. Be it done to me according to Thy word.

Hail Mary, full  of grace; the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.  Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and the hour of our death. Amen.

V. And the Word was made flesh, (genuflect)

R. And dwelt among us.

Hail Mary, full  of grace; the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.  Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and the hour of our death. Amen.

V. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God,

R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Pour forth, we beseech thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts; that, as we have known the Incarnation of Christ, Thy Son, by the message of an Angel, so by His Passion and Cross we may be brought to the glory of the Resurrection. Through the same Christ our Lord.

Amen

SACRED HEART
OF JESUS

Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Most sweet Jesus, Redeemer of the human race, look down upon us, humbly prostrate before Thine altar. We are Thine and Thine we wish to be; but to be more surely united with Thee, behold each one of us freely consecrates himself today to Thy most Sacred Heart.  Many, indeed, have never known Thee; many, too, despising Thy precepts, have rejected Thee.  Have mercy on them all, most merciful Jesus, and draw them to Thy Sacred Heart. Be Thou King, O Lord, not only of the faithful who have never forsaken Thee, but also of the prodigal children who have abandoned Thee; grant that they may quickly return to their Father's house, lest they die of wretchedness and hunger.  Be Thou King of those who are deceived by erroneous opinions, or whom discord keeps aloof, and call them back to the harbour of truth and unity of faith, so that soon there may be but one flock and one shepherd. Grant, O Lord, to Thy Church, assurance of freedom and immunity from harm; give peace, and order to all nations, and make the earth resound from pole to pole with one cry;

Praise to the Divine Heart that wrought our salvation: to It be glory and honour for ever. Amen
